#EarperView with Haught’s Top Button

Sometimes the fandom goddess smiles upon me, and I get to interview elusive, seldom-seen members of the Wynonna Earp community.

Tell us a little bit about your non-Earper alter ego.

Well, my very existence is dependent on Wynonna Earp, so there’s not a lot of non-Earping going on, even though no one has actually seen me. I do occasionally make an appearance on laundry day when Nicole air-dries me over the radiator.

How did you find Wynonna Earp and the fandom?

I mean, I guess it’s more accurate to say they found me…or at least saw where I wasn’t, if that makes sense.

Is this your first fandom?

It is, and what a lovely one. All everyone wants to do is make sure I feel included, while simultaneously wishing that I never appear onscreen. It’s nice, though. I guess.

What is your favorite fandom memory?

When I popped out and spent some time in Nedley’s Office. But Nicole found me soon after and sewed me back on, even though she never uses me.

What is your favorite con memory?

The Best Photo Op™ in existence. Please see below.

What is your favorite Wynonna Earp/Earper activity?

I really am partial to the cosplayers.

What has Wynonna Earp come to mean to you?

Even if sometimes I feel invisible, I know that people always appreciate me. I may feel like I am floating along aimlessly in life with no real purpose, but Earpers help me feel seen.

Are there any pictures you’d like to share of your Wynonna Earp experience?

The only picture of me in existence.

What is your favorite use for coconut oil?

If I have trouble slipping into the hole, I just use a tiny bit to slide right on in. That’s big top-button energy.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you Fandras?

12/10. She just fits.

Describe why Fandras is a thing in 7 words or less.

Made a star out of a button.

What is your favorite Earp sisters moment?

“Everyone hates you.” “I’m aware.” It’s a tiny little throwaway line, but it says so much about both characters and how they feel about the town they’re in.

How have you Earped your life?

For Halloween, I cosplayed Doc Holliday. I drew a tiny mustache between my thread holes.

What’s the Earpiest thing you’ve ever done?

Listen, I always wanted the spotlight. I did. But I realized that with this show, it’s not about me. It’s more important that I step aside and let someone else be seen. If that’s not being Earpy, I don’t know what is.

Thanks for reading, friends! I hope you enjoyed yourself and this silly little thing I wrote. Special thanks to Jill and Megan for allowing me to use their photo op! I’ll see you back here tomorrow for this week’s final EarperView. If this (and I in general) made you laugh, consider buying me a coffee!
