#EarperView with Lena Luthor

I mean, honestly, did you expect someone else?

We’re ending the week on a high note with an EarperView with my favorite CEO and media mogul, Lena Luthor. Obviously Lena loves her some Earp — strong women standing up to the forces of evil, quipping all the way? That’s my Lena’s jam. Take a look and see why she started watching, how she feels about Evelyn Andrews, and maybe why we Earpers should all be thanking her.

Tell us a little bit about your non-Earper alter ego.

I am the CEO of a multi-billion-dollar company that I recently rebranded to focus on the good I am doing, as opposed to being a front for my homicidal brother to take down his nemesis. I’m also the editor of Catco Worldwide magazine but am actually not that interested in whether or not you wear high-waisted shorts. I spend a lot of time in the lab trying to change the world for the better, and one of my biggest turnoffs is dishonesty, especially regarding the fundamental truths of who you are as a person, and especially when every person I love is dishonest about that fundamental truth. Other than Wynonna, I’m a huge fan of everything Phoebe Waller-Bridge creates. Oh, and One Tree Hill.

How did you find Wynonna Earp and the fandom?

My best friend former best friend introduced me to the show. I used to think she was a big fan of the Earp Sisters, but now I’m starting to wonder if it was the draw of everyone having secret wives, since she has been keeping a pretty big secret of her own.

Um…she likes pineapple on her pizza, and she never told me. That’s the secret.

Is this your first fandom?

When I was in middle school, I used to write Saved by the Bell fanfic. I had to hide it from my mother, who thought I should be creating the great American novel as a pre-teen. But I just really shipped Kelly and Jessie.

What is your favorite fandom memory?

When season four was announced…for the second time.

What is your favorite con memory?

I met a lovely Earper who taught me how to make origami swans.

What is your favorite Wynonna Earp/Earper activity?

I really have such an appreciation for the fan art. My guest room in one of my homes — well, my — er…a friend calls it “The Wynonna Room.” There are just pictures of Wynonna everywhere. This fandom is so talented.

What has Wynonna Earp come to mean to you?

People you can trust. When your brother turns out to be a homicidal maniac, your step-mother is quite possibly a sociopath, and the girl you love turns out to have been lying to you from the moment you met her, Earpers will always be there for you. #EarperSupport

Are there any pictures you’d like to share of your Wynonna Earp experience?

People who say that you should never meet your idols have never met Emily Andras.

Buying a publishing company means you get to go and visit the set. This first picture just screams “chemistry!”

Just clowning around with Natalie on set. Also, I channeled my inner Waverly as to what was weather appropriate that day.

An alternate take of the machine-gun barn scene. We really are three badass bitches.

I’ll always treasure that time I went to the PCAs with the group. I’m a natural fit, don’t you think?

What is your favorite use for coconut oil?

I like to synthesize it into Harun-el; it makes it absorb into the bloodstream faster. It’s also a great moisturizer to show off my arms when I wear my Lakehawks jersey, and it helps me get my hair in the tightest of buns. The only messy buns here are at Noonan’s.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you Fandras?

10. Like me, Emily Andras is the best.

Describe why Fandras is a thing in 7 words or less.

She could stay the night, if she wants.

I know that’s 8 words. Luthors don’t play by the rules.

What is your favorite Earp sisters moment?

I’ve been poisoned, attacked by a drone, thrown off of a building, shot at, had my helicopter sabotaged, drugged and placed in a chemical-stuffed plane whose engine stopped working, and marched through a Kryptonian forest through astral projection…and this question is the worst attack I’ve ever experienced.

How have you Earped your life?

I commissioned a custom mural of the most complex and misunderstood character on the show for my dining room.

What’s the Earpiest thing you’ve ever done?

My…Kara came to me and explained about the Fight for Wynonna. We were both fans of the show, of course (StacherForLife!), but it was especially important to Kara. And what matters to Kara mattered to me. So I had my assistant do a little digging, and I ended up buying IDW Entertainment. They dug their heels in a bit and caused a delay because they thought they could play hardball with me, but obviously they’ve never negotiated with Lena Luthor. Before they knew what hit them, Wynonna and Waverly and Nicole and Doc and Jeremy and Willa were mine. I am going through a bit of a rough patch with Kara right now, and we aren’t exactly seeing eye to eye, but no matter what, we’ll always have Wynonna. Hopefully things will be better by the time season four premieres next year.

Friends, thank you for taking this EarperView journey with me this week! I hope you had as much fun reading them as I did writing them. If I made you chuckle this week, consider supporting me and buying me a coffee or two.

Until next time, my friends.
